What are the axe regulations?
June 20, 2018
We follow the International Axe Throwing Federation (IATF) Rules and Regulations for our axes. This is to provide an even playing field as well as ensure safety.
- Axe heads must be between 1.25 lbs and 1.75 lbs
- Handles must be wood and be at least 13 inches long, including the portion in the eye of the head
- the face (blade) may be no longer than 4 inches
Other than that, you’re free to customize or decorate your axe however you choose.
IATF rules and regulations may change from time to time. To stay up to date, you can read up on the rules here: IATF Specifications
